Unlike standard dog drying coats, this one was created specifically for POINTER & HOUND. From the fabric composition to the colour and overall feel, we developed this textile for our brand - carefully choosing the exact softness, absorbency, durability, and tone we wanted. The shape, fit, and sizing have also been custom-designed in-house to ensure a signature P&H look and performance.
Our beautifully crafted Drying Coat is designed to make post-bath, beach, and rainy-day clean-ups effortless - this is drying made easy!
Made from an 85% microfibre, 15% polyamide blend at 500gsm, this premium towel fabric is highly absorbent, drawing moisture away from your dog’s coat quickly and efficiently. We selected this specific blend because the polyamide adds extra softness, improves durability, reduces drying time between uses, and elevates the overall finish - making it feel more premium and long-lasting than standard microfibre.
Inspired by the fit of our best-selling jackets, we designed this drying coat with a slightly more generous, relaxed silhouette - extra length through the sides and more width through the back for maximum coverage. Think of it as your dog’s own dressing gown: comfortable, practical, and elevated in all the right ways.
It features a wrap-around chest tie, a cinch bungee at the neck for an adjustable fit, and rear adjustable leg straps to keep it in place as your dog moves.
Finished in our custom earthy brown shade and elevated with a luxe ribbon detail at the neckline, this Drying Coat blends practicality with premium craftsmanship - created intentionally for the POINTER & HOUND dog and lifestyle.
Sizing tips: The 'length' measurement is taken from the cinchable neck seam, to the base of the robe (so the neck / collar piece isn't included in our 'Length' measurement). When the neck bungee isnt chinched in, the robe can sit further back on your dog - which adds considerable length. Keep this in mind when looking at sizes, and feel free to contact us if you'd like some help choosing the perfect fit for your pup!
Toby our GSP is 34kg - he's a larger GSP, he is wearing the XL here. He fits the L size too, but we like the oversized fit on him. Toby's measurements for reference: Neck 49cm, Chest 79cm, Back 61cm
Maple our Mini Dachshund - well, more 'tweenie' size now due to her long length, is wearing a size S here. She fits the XS too, but it sits just a tad short on her so we sized up. She currently weighs 6.3kg and her measurements are: Neck 27cm, Chest 41cm, Back 39cm
We recommend a pre-wash before use to help remove any excess dye and prevent colour transfer, as is common with absorbent towel fabrics.
This is the best for after a bath for my Bordoodle, it absorbs so much he's dry in no time. Absolutely love it, couldn't live without it now.
Love the aesthetic. Although my pup isn’t convinced. The material at her front legs gets in the way of her walking and irritates her. Hoping she will get used to it. As the towel has amazing drying quality.
Great product! We are out in all weathers walking the dog and this was perfect for what we needed when he comes in soggy. We have a working line skinny Labrador and we bought a large and it fits him perfect.
Our elderly Labrador loves to get in the river even when it’s freezing but this coat keeps our car dry on the drive home ❤️
My second review as we ended up buying a second one for mums dogs after seeing how nice it was.
Both dogs love them, our crazy cocker still zooms about all over the lounge, but the drying coat means the water is in the coat, not the lounge or carpet.
Within 15 minutes she is dry and the coat is soaked. I am honestly amazed at how well it works.

The dryer coat is superb to pop on after a walk in the rain. Makes dog management and house tidiness so much easier. As I have two dogs no one is left wet and cold, they stay toasty and warm while I organise the other. So much easier than multiple towels.

Love the quality and the size of the drying coats. I have another brand at the same cost and these drying coats far surpass them. The dogs love their drying coats and get annoyed if I take them off!
We used the Drying Coat for the first time yesterday - what a game changer. Bath done, towelled dryer dripping woof, put on Drying Coat (which we have renamed the “Hugh Hefner Coat”. Jameson rain around like a mad man with it on. Then proceeded to fall asleep in it!
Got mine today it looks great and fits well very well made and I appreciated. The little note. Personalised thanked me for buying this coat was a lovely touch. My dog loves it and will enjoy being warmer in the evenings wearing it.

The robe we didn’t know we needed. I honestly thought it was a wee bit gimmicky, and we could just continue using a towel, by my partner suggested getting it (which is a bit odd in itself). The first time we used it, it was a game changer. The carpet, couches and other soft furniture were saved from being rubbed on by a sopping dog, he was kept warm, and when we took it off 5-10 mins later, he was almost bone dry, far dryer than a towel could get him. This robe firmly has its place in our shower routine now, and I can see it being fantastic in summer after a beach or lake day!
Ted, my black Lab, wears his after his beach walks. It soaks up an amazing amount of water, keeps him warm, and saves my car from salt and sand. He genuinely looks like he’s just stepped out of a luxury dog spa and wears it proudly. Such a practical design.
My golden retriever - Lady Millicent of Bethlehem (aka Millie) - has a shower every day and, after being towelled down, wears her robe for the rest of the morning. It dries her nicely and keeps her warm. It also protects the sofa she is sleeping on. And she loves wearing it! Can't recommend this product enough.
With the fit and functionality of Pointer & Hounds other iconic jackets, this robe not only fits well but has a lot of customisable features for odd shaped or sized dogs as well as great drying properties and beautiful design. We have four dogs, ranging from 2kg up to 20kg and the great size range meant that I was able to kit everyone out.
The best way to dry our hairy dog. He loves having it on as it feels like a cuddle, which he can’t have when he’s wet! He curls up on his mat and dries off. Perfect.
