Our sizes and products are unique to our brand - so it's important to measure your dog the way we recommend to ensure you get the right size. 

Here you will find our measuring diagram, video, and additional size information for certain products.

How to measure correctly...

Measuring your dog sounds simple… but you’d be surprised how many people get it wrong. And with every brand measuring a bit differently, it’s no wonder it can be a challenge!

This diagram is for our products - so grab a soft tape and measure accurately. The tape needs to be firm - (but not too tight ) around your dog.

Dogs come in all shapes and sizes; unfortunately, like human clothes, it's important to remember that not every style works for every shape. If your pup’s in-between sizes or tricky to fit, we’re here to help - just send us a message over on our contact page.

POINTER & HOUND Jacket Sizing

Our jackets fit differently to stock-standard dog jackets. We have designed them and tailored the fit and measurements to be unique to our brand. This is an exclusive style and sizing to POINTER & HOUND.


Our Waterproof Jacket, Highland Coat, and Drying Coat are the same style and sizing - but have a few differences! The Highland Coat’s material is thicker and heavier than our Waterproof Jackets, while the Drying Coat is designed with a more generous, relaxed silhouette.


Below you can find the size chart for our jackets. Please note: Breed and Weight on the chart is only an estimate.

With over 1,000 customer reviews, many featuring photos, our Reviews Page is a great place to see how our products look and fit on real dogs of all shapes and sizes.

2. Measure Your Dog Correctly

We can't stress this one enough! One of the most common reasons customers order the wrong size is inaccurate measurements. Measuring in the wrong place, allowing too much extra room, or relying on sizing from other brands can all lead to an incorrect fit. Every brand fits differently, so we recommend watching our measuring video and following our size guides to ensure you're getting the most accurate measurements.

3. Visit The Pack

Our newest community feature, The Pack, was created to make finding the right fit even easier. Explore profiles of real P&H dogs, compare breeds, weights, measurements and the sizes they wear. It's a great way to see our products on dogs similar to yours and shop with a little more confidence! As our community grows, so will this helpful sizing resource.

POINTER & HOUND Harness Sizing

Our main two harness styles are the Signature Harness and the Tactical Harness. 

The Signature Harness is suitable for dogs that are sized extra small to extra large. It's lightweight yet durable, and comes in 6 sizes to help cater for those dogs who are in between sizes. It's a great 'everyday' harness that combines style and practicality.

The Tactical Harness is designed for medium to extra large dogs - and the sizing of this style runs larger because of this. Its heavier, and super tough. Great for dogs who are hard on gear, active, or deeper chested.

Follow the diagram above to accurately measure your dog’s neck and chest. Once you have their measurements, head to the product page of your chosen harness and enter them into our Size Guide Tool. This will help determine the best size for your dog.
